Phobjikha Valley Bhutan: Nature Walks, Cranes and Where to Stay

Phobjikha, also called Gangtey, is a broad Bhutanese valley suited to travelers who want nature and a slower pace. It is a winter home for migrating black-necked cranes. Add it to a western Bhutan itinerary if you can allow for extra road travel and an overnight stay.

How long should you stay?

An overnight gives you more time than a quick stop between valleys. Two nights can work if you prefer walks and an unhurried day.
