The train line to Nuwara Eliya gradually ascends from the subtropical spice and banana tree to the pine and eucalyptus forest. The most breathtaking landscape begins at Hatton and continues as you pass several tea estates and the St. Clair and Devon waterfalls on the left. Bear left toward Adam's Peak, which should be visible in the distance. The journey to Nuwara Eliya takes about 15 minutes by car after you reach Nanu Oya station, which you will reach after around 4.5 hours.
