Sample Itinerary
Arrive in Hong Kong and make your way to your hotel. Then, venture over to the Avenue of Stars, Hong Kong’s Walk of Fame, dedicated to the country’s most illustrious film stars. Take a stroll along this expansive waterfront before continuing over to Victoria Peak, the tallest mountain on the island (552m). Take in spectacular views of Hong Kong’s extensive skyline and deep natural harbour and nearby Lama Island. In the evening, explore the bustling neon streets of this densely populated metropolis before sitting down for a feast at one of its legendary yum cha houses. If the mood strikes, hit one of Hong Kong’s famous retail strips to stock up on discounted brands before grabbing a tasty street snack from one of the many street stalls on your way back to the hotel.
In the morning, venture by ferry to the exotic peninsula of Macau, located on China’s southern tip, 70km from Hong Kong. Delve into local history at the Macau Museum and explore Macau’s rich history as a former Portuguese colony and, until 1999, one of the last remaining European colonies in Asia. Continue over to the centuries-old Ruins of St. Paul, previously one of the largest catholic churches in the region and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, visit Largo de Senado, Macau’s lively paved town square and marvel at the centuries-old Portuguese architecture. Take a stroll through the town’s grand General Post Office before grabbing a delicious Portuguese tart from the open food market in the town square. Later, explore the tranquil grounds of Lou Lim Iok Garden, Macau’s only Suzhou-style garden in the centre of the peninsula.
