South Central Beaches: Phan Thiet & Mui Ne

Situated along the coast about 200 kilometres north of Ho Chi Minh City is the city of Phan Thiet and its small fishing town of Mui Ne. Boasting a variety of unique attractions, the region is a great visit for a number of reasons. First, Mui Ne’s peninsula offers some excellent beaches, which are not only great for soaking up the rays, but are also some of the best in the country for wind surfing.

Mui Ne is also known for its picturesque fishing port, where hundreds of colorful boats sit docked in the harbor waiting to head out for the day’s catch. Where there’s a big fishing port, there’s also the promise of deliciously fresh seafood… of which Mui Ne has no shortage of! Sitting beachside sampling some of the region’s tastiest grilled seafood is an absolute must for all visitors. A third, and very unique attraction of Mui Ne is its dunes. Just outside town is a vast collection of red sand dunes… Mui Ne’s own veritable desert! Whether four wheeling, photographing or sand sledding, these dunes are a truly unique sight within Mui Ne and Vietnam.
