Cao Bang is a mountainous province situated in northeastern Vietnam and is found 281km from Hanoi and by the border of China. Cao Bang’s topography is one of the most complicated in the country that is why transportation is limited. Most residents use motorcycles move from place to place to save the energy.
The cool climate allows visitors to experience the beautiful sites in the region. Cao Bang also offers adventurous ecotourism for tourists. The most renowned places in Cao Bang include Tra Linh Lake, Nguom Ngao Cave in Trung Khanh, Thang Hen Mountain, and Ban Gioc Waterfall which is situated near the border with China. Ban Gioc Waterfall is dubbed as one of the most beautifull falls in the country and measures thirty meters high. The waterfall is split into three falls by trees and rocks. The fierce rumbling of the falls can be heard for many kilometers.There are multiple places that contain war remnants about the Vietnam Revolution during the French colonial era namely the Lenin Stream, Coc Bo Cave, Pac Bo, and Khuoi Nam Stream where Uncle Ho Chi Minh worked and lived before the start of the August 1945.Like other mountainous regions in Vietnam, Cao Bang has many ethnic minorities such as the H’Mong, Tay, Dao, Nung, San Chay, and 11 other ethnic groups. The diverse ethnic groups offer a unique culture in the province. A lot of traditional festivals from the ethnic groups are celebrated regularly. Join in on the festivals such as the Long Tong Festival and Moi Me Trang.
