Myanmar: Weather & when to go: July

July Overview

July marks the full move into monsoon season. As the month progresses, rains become a more common occurrence across the country. While temperatures still remain quite high, they begin to fall a bit from previous months, generally hovering between the mid 20s to the low 30s.

While travel is still possible across the country, conditions do get a bit more trying. Heavy rains make transport much slower (impossible in some regions), and all the southern and coastal beach destinations are entirely shut down. On the other hand, in the central plains region reaching all the way to Myanmar, temperatures are still quite warm and rains relatively sparse. While it may not be the ideal time to visit for some, there are still plenty of unique travel opportunities available!
