Getting to know the Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is a geographic destination situation in the northern parts of Thailand. Historically, the triangle marks the borders between Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, and was infamously known as the main opium-growing and trading region of Asia. While the trade has long since been cracked down on, the Golden Triangle's other, more palatable attractions, still bring in visitors from all over the world.

Combining breathtaking landscapes of lush valleys, densely forested mountains and the mystical Mekong River with vast cultural diversity, this is one of Thailand’s most popular ethnic regions. In addition to the Karen and Akha people who inhabit the area, this region is also known for its plethora of wildlife. Combining the experiences together, cultural visits, adventure trips and wildlife sightseeing, and visitors are treated to one of the most unique sides of this classic travel destination.
