This splendid culinary tour will take you to one of Thailand’s best known secrets, the northeastern region of Isaan. Isaan is home to a rich selection of cultural attractions and beautiful landscapes and this itinerary will ensure that you sample some of the region’s finest culinary delights. Highlights will include a visit to several of the most prominent Khmer temples, but the most spectacular surprise for most visitors will be the many authentic dishes we sample, including wine tasting! Our tour will start in the city of Korat and from here we will stop at numerous cultural sites and authentic villages as we traverse the tropical rainforests and mountainous landscapes of Khao Yai National Park.
A special stop will include Khon Kaen, where we will taste everything from spicy chicken salads to delicious local sausages uniquely made the Isaan way. Due to the relatively low tourist numbers in Isaan, local village traditions have remained highly authentic and we will also observe vibrant markets, meet fantastically skilled chefs, and enjoy friendly encounters with the inhabitants of Wang Nam Mok, a beautiful Thai homestay experience.
