Thailand is home to a rich array of magnificent cultural heritage sites and this tour will ensure that you see some of the very best examples via visits to the ancient capital of Chiang Mai and the contemporary capital city of Bangkok. Both cities will offer an insight into the historical wonders of the country as well as allowing you to sample its more contemporary cultural feel, especially as Bangkok has developed to become one of Southeast Asia’s most modern and vibrant urban centres.
The tour will begin in Bangkok with a full day tour of this incredible city. We will encounter both the old and the new and see numerous key attractions, including visits to the spectacular Grand Palace and the beautiful Wat Pho. From here, we will then explore the fantastic ancient city of Ayutthaya and the incredible ruins of Sukhothai and as we make our way northwards to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival in this wonderful historic city, we will take a trip to see the golden stupa at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The final stage of our journey will take us to the heart of the famous Golden Triangle and take a cruise along the Mekong River – this will be a perfect way to end our memorable adventure.
