Many would argue that March is the best month to visit Myanmar. Rains are few and warm temperatures make for enjoyable sightseeing. While the lowlands can reach up to the mid 30s in March, the highlands hover around 30-32. The southern regions of the country still are basking in prime beach weather, and the Shan state area has had its chill lifted, making for comfortable, relaxing evenings. While the temperatures in the central plains may seem to be high, they are much more manageable in March than in the months to come.

Again, with the excellent weather comes high tourist numbers. This being the case it is advised to book trips well in advance to avoid any disappointment during the visit.
