Myanmar: Weather & when to go: August

August Overview

August again marks a more difficult period of visiting, with the monsoon season in full swing. July’s rains carry on through to August, though they do start to subside towards the latter part of the month. Regardless of the destination in August, heavy rains are to be expected. Despite the constant rain, temperatures remain quite high across the board, hovering between the mid 20s to the low 30s.

Travel across the country is, again, a bit more difficult and the heavy rains make access to some parts entirely impossible. While it is certainly possible to travel Myanmar during this month, other months may be more advisable.
