Beautiful Bagan & Magnificient Mandalay
This tour will take visitors to two of Myanmar’s most famous destinations and will enable you to experience these cities by bicycle, boat and via numerous trails that will take us to the very heart of the country. Starting in Mandalay, a modern city that includes Buddhist monasteries, pagodas and relics from its time as a former royal city, we will participate in a guided tour by bike. The tour will allow us to see Mandalay at closeproximity and at a casual, relaxing pace. We will try the local cuisine at lunchtime and also take a trip to see the magnificent monasteries that are located throughout this intriguing place. Other highlights will include visits to traditional villages (such as Pakkoku) that have remained uninfluenced by outsiders and a visit to unique Buddhist cave temple, Po Win Taung. The tour will ensure that we meet and interact with local people wherever possible and we will see craft workshops and local markets too. However, the ancient city of Bagan and its numerous temples will undoubtedly be the star attraction for most visitors.
