Laos: Weather & when to go: July

July overview

July is considered to be a more difficult time to visit Laos because of the heavy rainfall that occurs during this month. Travel to Phongsali and Muang Sing may also be impossible in extreme weather events too. However, like in June, this time may appeal to some visitors because of the limited number of tourists that choose to travel to Laos during this period. An average temperature in the mid-20°Cs will mean that it is not too hot in July although it can still be very humid on some days. A bonus of visiting during this time of year is that it coincides with the fascinating Buddhist festival of Boun Khao Pansa, and tourists are recommended to view the event if they have sufficient time.
